Students Win International Criminal Court Moot Competition

Students Trevor Maxwell (2L), Chris Keeler (2L), and Asma Kadri (2L) won the International Criminal Court (ICC) Moot Competition, hosted by Pace Law School. The AUWCL team will compete against teams from around the world May 17-22 in The Hague. MORE



Symposium Highlights Maryland Attorney General's Report on "The State of Marriage Equality in America"

The Program on Law and Government hosted a symposium on marriage equality on April 16, focusing on a report released by Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh, which surveyed current marriage laws in the 50 states and D.C. MORE



Humphrey Fellows' Accomplishments Celebrated at Certificate Ceremony

Legal scholars and professionals from around the world completed their year-long fellowship as part of the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program coordinated by the International Legal Studies Program at American University Washington College of Law. MORE



AUWCL Co-Sponsors National Democracy Slam 2015

The daylong National Democracy Slam 2015 explored 17 bold ideas for breaking partisan gridlock, ending gerrymandering, and improving America's elections and politics. The conference featured keynote speeches from Congressmen Mark Pocan and John Sarbanes and a closing panel moderated by Chuck Todd, NBC's political director and moderator of "Meet the Press." MORE
